As I said previously, I had this itch to get back in the water really really bad. So I did and I ended up at 204's in San Clemente. Here's the best part, I actually got to surf with someone I knew. How sweet is that?

Well as you can imagine, sometimes life gets in the way of me enjoying some of the things I like the most. In particular, lately it's been surfing. So I haven't been in the water in a while, but plan to shortly.

Today I decided to go to Trestles with a friend of mine Darrel and his friend Sean. Our kids and wives were going to be at a birthday party, so we thought this would be a great time to get in some quality surf. So it was decided that we would go to "middles" and see how the surf was there.

I again tried my luck with the surf around 56th street in Newport Beach. This time was better than before, however they still weren't the killer waves that I was hoping for. Good shape, just not the height I was looking for to have a good day.

Today I met my co-worker Josh for a little morning surf before heading into work. He suggested that we go to 56th street in Newport and check out the waves there. So we met around 6:15 and saw that the waves were pretty small. Whether or not the waves were small didn't really matter, we were still getting wet before work.

After giving it a good first try on Sunday, I decided that today I was going to give it a rest so that I could give my shoulders a much needed day off. I knew that I wanted to surf Tuesday morning before works, so not surfing today will give me that much more energy for tomorrow. So today was an off day.

Today was my first day back in the water. I must say, either I picked a really good day or someone above was looking down on me. The water was perfect, and the waves were good for a beginner. Not to big and not to small, probably about 2' - 3', so I had nothing to complain about.

Welcome to my Surfing Journal Blog. I started this website for the sole intension of journaling my surfing adventure, 15 years after I bought my first board. Life caught up with me, but now I have vowed to get back in the water and remember what is was like to catch a wave.
